Top 10 Android Games of the Week – February 12, 2012

This week’s Top 10 is a combination of games from the past two weeks; there were a lot of great ones released so we had a hard time narrowing it down. After careful consideration and quite a bit of arguing (in a fun way) we picked out 10 Android games we think are the cream of the crop. Without further ado, we proudly present the Top 10 Android Games of the Week for February 12, 2012.

1. Tongue Tied!

Mike & Ralph are two dogs with a little problem… they’re tied together at the tongue. This is the concept behind a new game called Tongue Tied! from Mojo Bones and it’s quite a bit of fun. You’ll take Mike & Ralph across 60 levels as you flip, swing, hang and ping your way to victory with the games unique style of play. The game looks awesome, has plenty of depth and is a real blast to play. You can find Mojo Bones Tongue Tied! in the Android market for free.

2. Amazing Charlie

The circus themed game rolled onto Android last week called Amazing Charlie from Blue Carrot Games.. What makes Charlie amazing? Well, he’s got the ability to fire himself from cannon-to-cannon and into a giant cupcake for starters. The Amazing Charlie has some real fast-paced gameplay and takes a unique “connect-the-dots” style approach with the game. It’s a great game that definitely deserves some attention; no free version is available, but the full version is a deal at only $0.99 cents.

3. Ceramic Destroyer

Ceramic Destroyer is a new Android game by runner games that lets you break ice with some well placed little bombs. We actually covered this one awhile back when it was called Ice Breaker!, and as that game is MIA from the market we’re assuming Ceramic Destroyer is the reworked version. Regardless of where it hailed from, Ceramic Destroyer is an awesome game and well worth checking out. You can pick up Ceramic Destroyer for free in the Android market.

4. Zenonia 4

Gamevil gave fans of the Zenonia series a treat yesterday as they dropped Zenonia 4 into the Android market. Their popular RPG has returned and you get to help heroes of the ages fight evil and change the course of destiny. This expansive game looks great, plays like a dream and has an expanded PVP mode for those of us that like a little online action. You can grab Gamevil’s Zenonia 4 in the Android market for free.

5. Itzy 3D

Spiders. Some of us fear them while others keep them as pets. If you’re fearful of the little buggers an Android game called Itzy3D might just ease your fears. Itzy’s job is to go through the woods spinning webs and eating the mysterious alien fireflies. You’ll have to stay alive and “web up” a certain amount of trees to advance as you make your way through Itzy3d’s colorful world. It’s a fun, family friendly game and you can find it for free in the Android market
.

6. Rocket Weasel

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to play a Rocket wearing Weasel…we’ve got just the game for you with Rocket Weasel from Freeze Tag Inc. Rocket Weasel lets you blast through 60 vivid levels as you try to free the little weasels from the clutches of the evil farmer. Throw in a slew of achievements, a few different rockets, and the most determined weasel you’ve ever seen and you’ve got yourself one killer game. As of this writing it’s not available in the Market, but you can find it in Amazons App store for low price of $1.99.

7. Pac-Chomp!

Namco Bandai was a staple of my childhood with all the cool toys, and games they put out over the years. They’ve put out quite a few Android games over the past year and a couple of weeks ago they gave us a new Pac-Man game dubbed Pac-Chomp! The new game is not your typical Pac-Man adventure though; this one’s a match-3 game involving our favorite yellow mascot and those little ghosts you love to hate. Haven’t played this one yet, but it looks great and I’m looking forward to checking it out soon. You can pick up Pac-Chomp! in the Android market for free.

8. Wonder Pants

It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s…..Wonderpants? He may not be Superman, but he does have a bit of courage as you’ll soon find out when you play Wonder Pants from Scramble. His outfit consists of a cape, mask, shirt, gloves and a pair of tighty whities and while he can’t leap buildings with a single bound, he can jump pretty high for a dude in his drawers. Wonder Pants isn’t your typical Superhero game, but its quirky fun nonetheless. No free version is available, but you can get the full version of Wonder Pants for $0.99 cents in the market.

9. CrossMe

CrossMe is a new game from Mobile Dynamix that brings you into the world of the Japanese Crossword puzzle or Nonogram if you prefer. I’m not even going to try and explain how the game works, but it involves discovering a hidden image by marking cells or leaving them blank according to a grid. I’m still trying to get the hang of it myself, but it seems pretty cool so far. If you dig crosswords or puzzles in general you’ll definitely want to check CrossMe out; you can get it for free in the market.

10. Bob Burnquist’s Dreamland

Bob Burnquist’s Dreamland is a skateboarding/adventure game from doubleleft, and it’s likely one of the most unique skating game you’ve ever played. You’ll get to skate through 30 stages while trying to pull off tricks to get the big highscore. Tricks are easily pulled off through swiping gestures, but you’ll still need to pay attention as this is a side-scrolling game so you’ll need to stick your tricks. Fun little game and well worth a look if you’re into skateboarding games. You can get Bob Burnquist’s Dreamland for free in the market.
